Over the past year, Nicki has undergone a major makeunder, reverting back to low-key hair and toning down her fashion choices. The perfect example of her shift? Her performance outfit on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night.
It’s as if Nicki said to her stylist, “I want the farthest thing away from what I wore on SNL,” because it’s hard to believe that this look comes only a week and some change after her eye-popping lace jumpsuit. Onika went for more of a look out of Kanye West‘s closet—*cue “Cold” (fka “Theraflu”)*—than a lingerie store, in a fur hooded vest with a long sleeve white t-shirt, jeans, and some simple boots. Of course, because this is Nicki, even at her most casual, her look is still on fleek.
She looked just as pretty when dolled up for the interview portion of her appearance, where she opted for a fringed Stella McCartney dress and suede boots. Here’s hoping she wore the vest outside when she left—it is December, after all. Honestly, though, is there any look Nicki can’t pull off? Two totally different ends of the spectrum last night within minutes of one another and, yet, equally flawless.
