We had no idea what we were in for.
Let’s take a look back—shall we?—and remember just how far Harry’s hair has come this year.

We begin, as most years do, in January. Harry’s hair was fully contained by a skinny headband.

In February, at London Fashion Week, he ditched the headband for a windblown—and very clean-looking, TBH—style. This is, perhaps, the straightest his hair was in 2014.

In March, the sides were getting longer and, even with a thicker scarf headband, things were gettin’ a little ~out of control~.

By May, things were long. By “things” I mean “hair.” There’s a blue headband under there, but um, it’s totally covered by dem curlz.

Later that month, he debuted the most iconic look of the decade—nay, century—his man bun. In its first iteration, it was small and not entirely up. How very Ariana Grande of you, Mr. Styles.

In October, he dabbled in a new look—half braid, half man bun. It was short-lived.

The full man bun, though, lived on. Not only lived, but thrived.

By the end of the month, he let his hair down—literally—and, in a way, allowed the curls to match his very ruffly shirt. This is what synergy is, right? Cool.

In November his ability to pull off a nonchalant front flip was highlighted, as was his love for leopard print.

Then, at the American Music Awards, he let his ends go v. curly and wore a hat, combining in something we’ll call Quaker Oats chic.

At the beginning of December, the locks looked as long as ever, and not only touched his shoulders, but actually flipped out at the bottom like Mary Tyler Moore. What will 2015 bring, you guys? Will Harry’s hair continue to grow? Will he surprise us with a cut, or will his love of man buns prove too strong? There’s no telling yet, but you know we’ll keep you updated.
